วันแรกหลังการฝังรากเทียม

• ห้ามบ้วนน้ำหรือใช้น้ำยาบ้วนปากทุกประเภท

• หากมีเลือดหรือน้ำลาย ให้กลืนลงไป ห้ามอมหรือบ้วนแรง เพราะอาจทำให้เลือดหยุดยาก

• อาจมีเลือดซึมเล็กน้อยหลังผ่าตัด ถือเป็นเรื่องปกติ

• ห้ามอมน้ำแข็ง

• ให้ใช้น้ำแข็งประคบด้านนอก บริเวณแก้มฝั่งที่ฝังรากเทียมให้มากที่สุด โดยเฉพาะในช่วง 48 ชั่วโมงแรก

• การประคบเย็นจะช่วยลดอาการบวมและทำให้เลือดหยุดเร็วขึ้น

• แปรงฟันได้ตามปกติ ยกเว้นบริเวณแผล

• ควรแปรงฟันให้สะอาดทั่วปาก โดยเว้นบริเวณที่ฝังรากเทียม และยังไม่ต้องบ้วนน้ำในวันแรก

วันที่ 2 เป็นต้นไป

• เริ่มใช้น้ำเกลือบ้วนปาก

หลังแปรงฟัน ให้บ้วนปากด้วยน้ำเกลือวันละ 3 เวลา (เช้า–เย็น–ก่อนนอน)

• ใช้น้ำยา C-20

อมไว้ในปากประมาณ 1 นาที หลังอาหารทุกมื้อ และก่อนนอน เพื่อช่วยลดเชื้อแบคทีเรีย (เริ่มใช้วันที่ 2 เป็นต้นไป)

• เปลี่ยนจากประคบเย็นเป็นประคบอุ่น

หากมีอาการบวม หรือเขียวช้ำ ให้ใช้น้ำอุ่นประคบบริเวณนั้น ช่วยให้แผลหายเร็วขึ้น

คำแนะนำเพิ่มเติม

• รับประทานยาตามที่ทันตแพทย์สั่ง

  หากมีอาการแพ้ เช่น ผื่น คัน อาเจียน หรือหายใจลำบาก ให้หยุดยาและนำยากลับมาพบทันตแพทย์

• งดพฤติกรรมเสี่ยง

  ห้ามสูบบุหรี่ ดื่มสุรา หรือรับประทานอาหารร้อนจัด / เผ็ดจัด อย่างน้อย 1 สัปดาห์

• หากมีอาการผิดปกติ

  เช่น ปวด บวมมาก หรือเลือดออกไม่หยุด ควรรีบมาพบทันตแพทย์ทันที

• ทันตแพทย์จะนัดมาตัดไหมประมาณ 7–14 วันหลังการฝังรากเทียม

  
  ในกรณีที่มีการปลูกกระดูกร่วมด้วย

  อาจพบอาการบวม หรือเขียวช้ำบริเวณใบหน้า ซึ่งถือเป็นเรื่องปกติ และจะหายได้เองภายใน 2 สัปดาห์

Post-Implant Care Instructions-For International Patients

Day 1 After Dental Implant Surgery

Taking proper care after your dental implant surgery is essential for healing and preventing complications. Please follow these guidelines carefully.

What to Avoid on the First Day

• Do not rinse your mouth or use any kind of mouthwash.

• If you have blood or saliva in your mouth, swallow gently. Do not spit or rinse forcefully, as this may disrupt the blood clot and delay healing.

• Minor bleeding or oozing is normal after the procedure.

• Do not suck on ice or hold ice inside your mouth.

Cold Compress (Day 1–2)

• Apply an ice pack to the outside of your cheek near the implant area for the first 48 hours.

• Cold compresses help reduce swelling and aid in stopping minor bleeding.

Oral Hygiene on Day 1

• You may brush your teeth as usual, but avoid brushing the surgical site.

• Maintain overall oral hygiene, but do not rinse your mouth after brushing on the first day.

Starting from Day 2

• Rinse with Salt Water

• After brushing, gently rinse your mouth with warm salt water (1 teaspoon of salt in a glass of warm water) three times a day: in the morning, evening, and before bed.

• Use C-20 Mouthwash (or Chlorhexidine, if prescribed)
  Hold the mouthwash in your mouth for about one minute after every meal and before bed to help reduce bacteria and promote healing. (Begin using from Day 2 onward.)

• Switch to Warm Compress
  If you experience swelling or bruising, apply a warm compress to the outside of the face. This can help reduce discomfort and improve circulation to speed up healing.

Additional Recommendations

• Take all medications as prescribed by your dentist.

• If you develop symptoms such as a rash, itching, nausea, or difficulty breathing, stop the medication and return to your dentist with the medication package for evaluation.

Things to Avoid for at Least One Week

• Smoking or drinking alcohol

• Consuming extremely hot or spicy foods

When to Contact Your Dentist
Please contact your dentist immediately if you experience:

• Severe pain

• Increasing swelling

• Continuous or heavy bleeding

Suture Removal

Stitches will typically be removed 7 to 14 days after the implant procedure, depending on your healing progress.

If Bone Grafting Was Performed

If your treatment included bone grafting, you may notice facial swelling or bruising. These are common and usually resolve on their own within two weeks.
